Today was the first day back at the gym under my cleaned up diet. I don’t weigh as much as I thought I would – which means going by yesterday’s measurements – I’ve lost muscle mass. Though my squat and pull-up attempts were pretty good. The refurbished gym has a proper barbell now instead of just the bodypump type. Really different how it feels. Not entirely sure how much it weighs but from what I found online it should be about 20kg. Which means I upped my squat 5kg. Not ready to drop any of my assisted pullup counterweight yet.
Decided to push for cardio – just a few sprints on the treadmill. Unfortunately, I started getting cramps in my calves on the third attempt. Not sure if this means I’ve dropped carbs too quickly or if I’m just too low on potassium and/or magnesium. Either way I took some vitamins and had two oven roasted potatoes with dinner.
